◎简　　介

20世纪中叶，不同国家多名神父惨遭邪恶力量杀害。为了查清真相，教廷再次找到曾与魔鬼修女瓦拉克（邦妮・阿伦斯 Bonnie Aarons 饰）对决并生还的艾琳修女（泰莎・法米加 Taissa Farmiga 饰）进行调查。难以抗命的艾琳修女只得上路，与之同在一家修道院的黑人修女黛博拉（斯托姆・瑞德 Storm Reid 饰）则执意同行。与此同时，当初曾从鬼修女手中救下艾琳姓名的法国向导弗兰奇（乔纳斯・布洛凯 Jonas Bloquet 饰）正在一所教会学校工作，平静的日子里，他和一名女孩成了忘年交，也和女孩的母亲暗生情愫。但是这所学校的废弃教堂内，似乎隐藏着什么不为人知的秘密。
