◎简 介
纽维尔将军（让・杜雅尔丹 Jean Dujardin 饰）即将和心爱的未婚妻宝林（诺米・梅兰特 Noémie Merlant 饰）携手步入婚姻的殿堂，在这个节骨眼上，他收到了征召令要他重返战场。临走之前，纽维尔答应宝林，会经常给她写信报平安，但之后，宝林却一封信也没有收到过。
宝林的姐姐伊丽莎白（梅拉尼・罗兰 Melanie Laurent 饰）不忍心看到妹妹每天苦苦等待的样子，于是决定冒充纽维尔给她写信，信中，伊丽莎白杜撰了许多英雄事迹，谁知道自豪的宝林竟然将这些信件四处放送，导致伊丽莎白信中捏造的纽维尔成为了当地的英雄。一晃眼三年过去了，当宝林和伊丽莎白都以为真正的纽维尔早已经为国捐躯时，纽维尔重新出现在了宝林的眼前，只不过只有他自己知道，他的身份，是一名逃兵。
