◎简 介
1940年的日本神户，战云密布，太平洋战争蓄势待发。而养尊处优、锦衣玉食的福原智子（苍井优 饰）似乎并未受到外界影响，她和经商的丈夫福原优作（高桥一生 饰）过着洋派的富裕生活，闲暇里在优作导演的电影里出演女主角，如此悠哉，令人欣羡。可是自从丈夫和侄子文雄去伪满洲国拍摄电影回来后，似乎一切发生了改变。优作沉默寡言，若有所思。智子的青梅竹马――穿上军装的太治（东出昌大 饰）阴郁沉稳，且咄咄逼人。隐藏的秘密逐渐被揭开，智子震惊地发现优作在伪满洲国拍到了如此可怕的东西，而优作似乎正在做着一个威胁全日本的决定。这个单纯的女子该何去何从……
本片原为NHK制作的剧集，之后重新编辑的电影版荣获2020年威尼斯影展最佳导演银狮奖。
